I love you from A - Z

So I found this to be a cute little pick-me-up to send to him just on a fly by. It didn't take me much time at all and it was very appreciated!
Just list your alphabet and name something about him from each letter. I tried to spice mine up just a little and made a word document and printed it off with just a few of the letters, and hand wrote the remaining alphabet in different colors and fonts. Hope you enjoy, Below is the link for the work document as well.

Sorry it's not the best picture, but should give you some ideas! ;) Have FUN!

100 Reasons...

Okay so I've seen the 100 Reasons why I love you done numerous times now and it's always done as some sort "list" form, which are all extremely beautiful, because as my fiancee said "How did you think of 100 things?? I'm not sure if I can even think of 100 reasons why I love myself"...So for any of us that take the time out to pin point our love in that way takes time in itself and a lot of vulnerability. So here's my version of 100 Reasons...

I wanted him to have all the reasons I loved him, but more so in the way of a "grab bag" kind of thing. I wanted him to have them so if he was feeling down one day he could go to his envelope and pull out a reason(or a few) of why he's loved. So my solution was, miniature "envelopes" with the reason inside. Of course you could do just a folded piece of paper. I just enjoy taking up my free time with tracing and cutting. ;)

A few pictures of the finished product!

Just to give the idea of the size of the miniature envelopes

P.S. If you would like to view how I've made the envelopes, please take a look at my "Open When" series for that information, just note that these envelopes are not glued, they were just folded and sat under some heavy books to help them keep their shape! Of course, any questions please let me know how I can help!

Fun with stationary!!!

Our loved ones thrive off of getting mail, so they'll appreciate anything that you have the time to get to them. It's just always a lot of fun to do something extra for them. A lot of my something extras come from finding random things or different kinds of stationary or cards to write on to send little notes to him.

So here are a few of my favorites:

These fold & send dinosaur letters that I had gotten from target, i fell in love!! The are just so cute and it was the closest that I could find to something more "guyish" I think some of the other options were butterflies and maybe some school type of prints. (these would also make AWESOME notes to drop into kids lunch boxes!)

Hallmark note kit, I had found these at Walmart, just came in different colors and shapes with color matching envelopes as well. These are really cute to just write a quick note of an "I love you" and drop it in the mailbox.

The "tag" note cards. This was a small set of blank note cards that looked like luggage tags that had the white and striped envelopes in the pack. I had found these standing in line at TJ Maxx.

And finally some HOT NEON index cards! School season at Walmart is my favorite time of year! I find some fun stuff to write little notes on and drop them in the mail to him.

Just remember to find your own creativity. Whatever catches your eye grab it! If it's something that you like don't be afraid to write on it! And yes, at times I can be very "corny", but he enjoys it and I enjoy being creative, and that's what works for us!

Good Luck!

Open When Packages..

Hi again! This is all a how to guide for my version of the Open When Letters. I hope you all enjoy and are able to find something you can use! Some envelopes have more it than others, some there are things that I had to cut out!
Here's a picture of all of them once I was finished and ready to seal and deliver!

First of course you need your supplies (again all of these could be substituted if you found something to be a better fit for you and your love)
1. Double sided scrapbook paper - I went to Walmart and found a packet of paper with the designs on it that I liked. This was used for the envelope making
2. Markers/Colored Pencils or Crayons - For all the extra stuff inside
3. Glue Stick
4. Microsoft word or Any other printable program
5. Goodies to stick inside your envelopes - I'll go into detail later with each envelope and what I put inside of mine
6. Index Cards - I used them to write little notes on to slide into each envelope
6. Scissors

Ideas for your Envelopes
1. You need a laugh
2. You're angry
3. You need Support
4. You need a lift
5. You're bored
6. You need my love
7 . Just for fun!!!
8. You miss me
9. You're having a bad day
10. You're feeling sick
11. You're happy
12. You miss the kids

How I made the Envelopes
I took an old envelope that I had from before and "unglued" it from itself and folded it out onto a sheet of the scrapbook paper. Traced it, cut it out, and then folded and glued.

Take your piece of scrapbook paper and your envelope

Unfold/unglued your envelope and place it on your piece of paper for you to trace

Once it's traced, you can begin to cut it out

Once your finished cutting out, you should have something along this lines(of course your envelope may look different than mine so your finished product is going to look different)

Fold it to match your original envelope

Then I glued down the 2 sides so it'll stay put, like  a regular envelope, and in the end I just put a sticker once I closed the top flap, you of course, could glue it down or whatever you would prefer.

Below are the details of each envelope and what I put in them. At the very bottom are all of the printables that I used as well.

Welcome to Inspire Locked Up Love

Hi Ladies & maybe even some gents!! So here goes my blog on getting creative and keeping your snail mail and ultimately your love life fun! I know how hard it can be to get new ideas sent to our loved ones in prison especially whenever we always seem to do so much for them! If they have a long time, sometimes we can definitely feel drained or run out of ideas. So please feel free to take what you would like, be sure to use you're own creativity too! Being creative is also about getting personal! Use things that they miss that they love, you're more than welcome to do exactly as I do, but be sure to add you're own light to it, it'll make it that much more special. Of course, depending on the facility that they are in you may already know what you need to remove or even get to add yourself. If you have any questions/ideas/suggestions, please let me know, it's all about sharing and keeping it fun!

I appreciate your time and hope it helps you keep that extra spark alive!
